Cookie Policy
What we store on your device, why we store it, and how to take control of it — written in plain English and kept in step with UK cookie law.
Last updated 23 October 2026 · Governed by the laws of England & Wales
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
This Cookie Policy explains how Bido TV (“we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on iptvuk.click and on any related store, account or player page that links to it. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data more generally, and our Terms & Conditions.
It covers cookies set by our own site (first-party) and cookies set by other organisations whose services appear on our pages (third-party). It does not cover the practices of websites we merely link to, including streaming providers, payment processors and affiliate partners.
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. On each later visit your browser sends it back, which lets the site remember that you have been there before — to keep you signed in, for example, or to keep items in a shopping cart.
Cookies are either session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which remain for a defined period. Similar technologies include local storage, tracking pixels and software development kits embedded in mobile apps. In this policy we use the word “cookies” to cover all of them.
Cookies do not normally contain your name or email address. They contain a unique identifier that links your browser to a record held on a server.
3. The rules we follow under UK law
Two sets of rules apply to us. The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) require us to obtain your consent before storing or reading information on your device, except where that storage is strictly necessary to provide a service you have requested. The UK GDPR applies where a cookie can identify an individual, because the identifier then becomes personal data.
In practice this means strictly necessary cookies are set without asking, because the site cannot function without them. Functional, analytics and advertising cookies are set only after you agree to them, and you can withdraw that agreement at any time.
Where you have consented, our lawful basis under the UK GDPR is consent. For strictly necessary cookies our basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure, working service, together with the PECR exemption for storage that is essential to the service you asked for.
4. The categories of cookies we use
| Category | What it does | Consent needed |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Keeps the site secure and working: sign-in, cart, checkout, load balancing and fraud prevention. | Not required |
| Functional / preference | Remembers choices you make, such as player quality, subtitle settings or a dismissed notice. | Required |
| Analytics | Counts visits and shows which pages help customers, read in aggregate. | Required |
| Advertising and affiliate | Measures whether a referral link led to a sale, and limits how often you see the same promotion. | Required |
5. Strictly necessary cookies
These are the cookies that make the site work. They are set when you load a page or use your account, and they cannot be switched off through our consent controls, because doing so would break the feature they support.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| wordpress_logged_in_[hash] | iptvuk.click | Keeps you signed in to your account. | Session to 14 days |
| wordpress_[hash] | iptvuk.click | Authenticates requests in the account area. | Session |
| wp-settings-{time}-[UID] | iptvuk.click | Stores screen and editor preferences. | 1 year |
| woocommerce_cart_hash | iptvuk.click | Remembers what is in your cart. | Session |
| woocommerce_items_in_cart | iptvuk.click | Records that the cart is not empty. | Session |
| wp_woocommerce_session_[hash] | iptvuk.click | Links your cart to your browsing session. | 2 days |
| _lscache_vary | iptvuk.click | Serves the correct cached page for your login state. | 2 days |
| comment_author_[hash] | iptvuk.click | Remembers the name on a comment you left. | 1 year |
The exact set depends on which features and plugins are active when you visit, so this list may change as the site does. Values in square brackets are generated for your particular browser and are not meaningful on their own.
6. Functional and preference cookies
Functional cookies let the site remember a choice so that you do not have to make it again: the last channel you watched, your preferred playback quality, whether you dismissed a notice, or the language you selected. They are set only when you use the feature that needs them, and they carry no advertising identifiers.
If you block them the site still works, but it will feel less personal — settings reset on each visit and some conveniences disappear.
7. Analytics cookies
Where analytics are enabled, we use them to answer narrow questions: how many people visit, which pages are read, which links are used, and where the site is slow or broken. We read the results in aggregate rather than as a profile of any individual. We do not use analytics to build advertising audiences, and where a provider offers IP anonymisation we turn it on.
Analytics cookies are optional. If you decline them we do not set them, and we do not attempt to reconstruct the same information by other means.
8. Advertising and affiliate cookies
Some pages contain affiliate or referral links. If you follow one and later subscribe, the partner network may set a cookie so that the referring site is credited for the sale. We may also use advertising cookies to measure a campaign and to avoid showing you the same promotion repeatedly.
Those cookies are set by the third party, not by us, and their duration and use are governed by that party’s own policy. Where a platform allows it, we name the partner and link to its policy at the point where you are asked to agree.
We do not use cookies to infer sensitive characteristics, and we do not sell personal data.
9. Managing cookies in your browser
Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies. The controls sit in the privacy or security section of the browser settings, usually under a heading such as “Cookies and site data”. Private or incognito windows discard cookies when you close them.
- Chrome and Edge: Settings → Privacy, search and services → Cookies and other site data.
- Safari on macOS: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
- Safari on iOS: Settings → Apps → Safari → Advanced → Website Data.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
Blocking all cookies will break parts of this site. Sign-in, the cart and checkout all depend on strictly necessary cookies, so a purchase cannot be completed with cookies disabled. Blocking only analytics and advertising cookies has no effect on playback.
10. Third-party embeds, players and payment pages
Some pages embed content hosted elsewhere: video players, the payment pages used at checkout, map or chat widgets, and social media buttons. When you interact with embedded content, that provider may set its own cookies as though you had visited its site directly.
We do not control those cookies. To avoid them entirely, do not interact with the embedded element, or configure your browser to block third-party cookies. Payment pages are a practical exception: our payment processor sets the cookies it needs to take your order and screen it for fraud, and those are strictly necessary to complete the purchase.
11. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Do Not Track is a browser signal that was never given a common, enforceable meaning, so we do not treat it as a decision about consent. Global Privacy Control (GPC) is a newer signal with clearer legal standing in some jurisdictions; where our consent tooling supports GPC, we honour it automatically.
In every case the most reliable control is your browser. Blocking or deleting cookies takes effect immediately and applies to every site you visit, not only this one.
12. Changes to this policy
We review this policy whenever we add or remove a feature that uses cookies, and we try to keep it accurate between reviews. The date at the top of this page is the date of the last substantive change.
If a change materially affects what we store on your device, we will ask for your consent again rather than relying on an earlier choice.
13. Contact us and your right to complain
Questions about this policy, or a request to see or delete data held about you, can go to email@iptvuk.click or by WhatsApp on +33 6 44 65 07 83. Our Privacy Policy sets out how to make a formal data subject request and how long we take to answer.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK regulator for data protection and cookies, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather hear from you first, so please contact us before escalating where you can.
